Hazel Clifford is an actor and writer from Dublin.
She is currently playing the role of Oswald in King Lear (dir. Roxana Silbert) at The Gate Theatre.
Recent stage work includes the Tinderbox production of Yerma (dir. Patrick J. O’Reilly) at The Lyric, Belfast; Waiting for the Offo (dir. Conan McIvor) at The New Theatre, and Baking You Everything (dir. Jim Culleton) at Draíocht.
A graduate of The Lir Academy (2018), Hazel’s earlier credits include The Snapper (Gate Theatre), The Playboy of the Western World (The Lyric /Gaiety Theatre), Walls & Windows (Abbey Theatre), You’re Still Here (Dublin Castle), Kinder Egg Spirits (Smock Alley Theatre), Our Little World (ANU Productions), and Next Please (Bewley’s Café Theatre).
She was nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Actress in 2018, and for Best Young Talent at the Renaissance Film Festival in 2019.
