Janet Moran

Janet Moran is an actor and play­wright based in Dublin. She is cur­rently appear­ing as Karen in the ITV/​Britbox/​RTÉ series The Dry Sea­sons 1 and 2, directed by Paddy Breath­nach. She received the Irish Times Best Actress Award for Heaven (Fisham­ble, The New Play Com­pany) which played in New York, Lon­don, Edin­burgh as well as an Irish Tour.

Her play Quake won the award for Best The­atre script at the Writ­ers Guild of Ire­land Awards. Her play After­wards recently played at the Pea­cock The­atre. Look­ing for América which she co-​wrote is cur­rently in devel­op­ment with Oh Brother Films and Screen Ireland.

She is the cur­rent DLR Play­wright in Residence.
