Jo Dow

Jo has played lead roles in many TV series over the last 25 years, and worked with great TV writ­ers includ­ing Jed Mer­cu­rio, Linda LaPlante and Jimmy McGov­ern, as well as hun­dreds of TV and film direc­tors. Most recent cred­its include Agatha Raisin (Dir. Audrey Cooke; ITV) and Line of Duty (Dir. Jed Mer­cu­rio; BBC).

After train­ing at Guild­hall, Jo worked his way through rep, Shared Expe­ri­ence phys­i­cal the­atre and RSC in the West End to find a home on cam­era, expe­ri­enc­ing the full range of styles — studio-​based sit­com, Amer­i­can film, long-​form police drama, big bud­get Sci-​Fi, hard hit­ting social drama and Shake­speare on film.

With a base in Ire­land, Jo looks for­ward to build­ing on recent new work in The Becky tril­ogy for Bor­derlight pic­tures, and on radio in How to Bring down a Gov­ern­ment for BBC NI.
