John Maher

John Maher is a grad­u­ate of the Gai­ety School of Acting.

From Dublin, John holds a first class hon­ours degree in Eng­lish and Drama from Uni­ver­sity Col­lege Dublin and was a mem­ber of the Ad Astra Per­form­ing Arts Acad­emy while study­ing in UCD.

As a mem­ber of ‘Straight Out The Box’ the­atre col­lec­tive, John is cur­rently devel­op­ing, devis­ing, and will be per­form­ing in ‘Show Me Your Macarena’ which is to be staged at the Milan Fringe Fes­ti­val this year.

His back­ground as a per­former stems from his time in Irish Pro­fes­sional Wrestling, per­form­ing in shows across Dublin and Ire­land since the age of 14. Today, he is cur­rently a mem­ber with Vic­to­ri­ous, Ireland’s lead­ing Screen & Stage Com­bat School.
