Gabrielle Moleta

Gabrielle is a move­ment direc­tor based in Dublin. She has fed phys­i­cal lan­guage into all strands of per­for­mance from small– and large-​scale the­atre and con­tem­po­rary dance to TV, film and per­for­mance capture.

She works inter­na­tion­ally in Europe, the US, Aus­tralia and New Zealand. Her exten­sive CV include move­ment cred­its from Para­mount to Cartier Global and the Abbey The­atre. In the UK, she has worked with the BBC, National The­atre Stu­dio, South­bank Cen­tre, Globe The­atre and West­min­ster Abbey as well as com­pa­nies includ­ing David Glass Ensem­ble, The World Famous– (Olympics 2012), The­atre Re, and Chore­o­g­ra­pher Lea Tirabasso. She has also prac­ticed in inti­macy direc­tion for stage and screen since 2021.

A UK/​NZ cit­i­zen she grew up in Aus­tralia, trained in dance and phys­i­cal the­atre in Paris and Vienna and then trained as an actor in London.

She is founder of Com­pany Gabrielle Moleta — The­atre From The Wild — and is at her dynamic best work­ing in col­lab­o­ra­tion with ensem­bles of multi-​disciplinary artists.

Gabrielle’s spe­cial­ism, Trans­for­ma­tion and Imag­i­na­tive Impro­vi­sa­tion enables actors, direc­tors, writ­ers, com­posers, chore­o­g­ra­phers, dancers, to cre­ate phys­i­cally inno­v­a­tive lan­guage for performance.
