Gabrielle is a movement director based in Dublin. She has fed physical language into all strands of performance from small– and large-scale theatre and contemporary dance to TV, film and performance capture.
She works internationally in Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand. Her extensive CV include movement credits from Paramount to Cartier Global and the Abbey Theatre. In the UK, she has worked with the BBC, National Theatre Studio, Southbank Centre, Globe Theatre and Westminster Abbey as well as companies including David Glass Ensemble, The World Famous– (Olympics 2012), Theatre Re, and Choreographer Lea Tirabasso. She has also practiced in intimacy direction for stage and screen since 2021.
A UK/NZ citizen she grew up in Australia, trained in dance and physical theatre in Paris and Vienna and then trained as an actor in London.
She is founder of Company Gabrielle Moleta — Theatre From The Wild — and is at her dynamic best working in collaboration with ensembles of multi-disciplinary artists.
Gabrielle’s specialism, Transformation and Imaginative Improvisation enables actors, directors, writers, composers, choreographers, dancers, to create physically innovative language for performance.
