Michael-David McKernan is an award-winning filmmaker from Ireland, previously long-listed for an Oscar and a nominee for a Young Directors Award at Cannes Lions.
He is the director of multiple short films that have screened internationally at film festivals such as Tribeca, Newport Beach, Flickerfest Australia, Dublin and BFI Flare.
Cat & Mouse, a short film supported by Screen Ireland’s flagship Focus Shorts Scheme, premiered at Galway Film Fleadh this summer.
His short documentary How to Fall in Love in a Pandemic qualified for the Academy Awards in 2021 after winning Best Short Documentary at Galway Film Fleadh as well as nine other international festival awards.
